Lunations

Hello everyone,

After a great deal of thought and soul searching, I have decided to discontinue the Lunations section of elishans. There are quite a few reasons and I'll tell you what they are plus a little about what I might be doing instead in times to come.

I am 63 years old; I'll be 64 March 31st 2017. My health isn't as good as it once was, and thus I have a lot less physical energy than I once did. So I have to make a careful assessment of all things I engage myself with and the determining factor for me is how much I love it. I do dearly love the principles of the Lunation Cycle given to us by Dane Rudhyar, and the work I continued using that as a base to examine the Phoenix Miracle, the principle that Elisha taught me. We are in a time where karma moves so swiftly that people absorb more than one lifetime's worth of experience during a single life. I still believe in Elisha's principle of many incarnations into a single physical body. I practice it in my own life—lives! The phoenix principle and phoenix miracle is with me more than ever before. However, I am dropping the model of "incarnating as a new phoenix into a new sign of the Zodiac" as a way to try out the phoenix experience. Why? ...

There are many signs, but chief among them is the increasing emotional resistance I have felt to write each Lunation Letter as the New Moon approached. I believe in the power of the New Moon—the Dark Moon—now more than ever. I still think it is important to be aware of the passing of the Moon through her shapes and stages in the monthly Lunation cycle. But I no longer have the energy to teach it. There is so much I want to do and I can't afford to continue anything that gives me an emotional resistance to visit elishans!

So I am going to leave Lunations in the menu for a bit, then I will drop it into a sub-menu under "River." All the Lunation Letters I wrote this year will still be available there, should someone choose to read them.

What will I replace Lunations with in the menu?

Future Possibility:

I'm thinking "Magic!" As in Dion Fortune's definition of the word: "Magic is the ability to change one's consciousness at will." Now that is something I'm really interested in. It is something I have studied and practiced for the last 48 years. Magic is a big part of my life. As much as Oracles and Reiki, I would like to teach Magic to everyone who believes in consciousness and the ability to change it and everything else in life as a result.

What would you like to learn about Magic? Are you interested in Moon Magic—the enhancement of Magic based on the karmic conditions of Time, especially on Dark and Full Moons? (Comment below if you are!)

Or comment below to let me know what you are interested in that we could explore together.

But I'll keep this in the "Previews of Coming Attractions" column. For now.

Meanwhile, I will be putting more focus on my blog, Journey. That is the landing page of the site and the part of this Work I think is most important. I plan to blog often about the little things and the big things, whatever occurs to me to speak about in this fast-changing world. Each article will always have a spiritual and metaphysical focus, the same as you have come to expect from me. I will start this week with an article entitled, "I Will Not Live In Fear."

Thank you for all your support and for the many times you have visited elishans. I hope you will continue to visit more and more often, and to leave comments that will help us all explore metaphysics and spirituality to a greater depth.

Ever yours,
Zy

Come Journey with me, there is so much to See!

Every Spring the world around us is reborn. Flowers and new grasses re-cover the earth, trees awaken from long slumber through Winter and grow bright new leaves. Thus Aries is the sign of new beginnings as evidenced by Nature all around us. Aries is the child of the Zodiac, bursting with limitless energy. An Aries is blunt, restless, innocent, and self-involved. The goal is self-discovery through action, courageously─sometimes rambunctiously!─willing to accept any new challenge that comes along, or to create one if it isn't there!
Are you ready to take a risk, start something new, be physical, confident, and bold? Now is your chance to do it! And what better time than now?

Indeed ... an Aries knows no other time!

What begins with the new moon swells to the full.
Here are some things to consider when traveling this Moon's Journey:

  • The Lunation occurs on a Moon Path
This lends spiritual significance that adds the qualities and nuances of The Moon─sometimes subtly, sometimes less so─to everything that follows. Rather than list those qualities here, I have taken them into consideration in the following descriptions.

  • The Lunation squares Pluto
Here lies perhaps the greatest challenge of this lunar lifetime: the intensity of our emotions. Drama abounds, appears from nowhere, and catches us up with a tendency to explode! Well, an Aries loves a good fight but not to the extent that one's self gets utterly lost in the power of it. There are two lessons for us here. 1) We need to learn how to compromise. And 2) it is better to direct emotional intensity into creative pursuit than to lose one's self in drama with others.

  • Jupiter squares Saturn
Those born under this aspect may have a poor understanding of their own abilities. An Aries is innocent and may naively expect others to reward us for what we do. It would be nice to think that when this doesn't happen it isn't personal. But everything is personal to an Aries. The lesson here is to not put yourself down and to not expect recognition from others. "I work to reward myself," should be the motto of the Aries phoenix in this cycle. It isn't selfish. It's self-fulfilling.

  • The Lunation trines Saturn
This aspect supplies us with what we need to overcome the one I just discussed. It gives us the ability to stay organized and work consistently toward success. This gift of self-confidence eases any burden of responsibility and allows us to build solid foundations, security, and firm footing.

  • The dominant Mode is Cardinal
Cardinal quality is the natural ability to initiate, to start something, to get things going. This Moon is full of drive and ambition. No one accepting a birth in this cycle is going to sit around waiting for something to happen. Feel it and move it. What a way to be, right?

  • The dominant Element is Fire
Be spontaneous, creative, self-sufficient, and ... well ... sexy! The energy of this Moon is strong and contagious. Whatever you do, have fun!

  • Nothing at all in Air
There aren't any "thinkers" in this bunch! But maybe intellectualism is overrated. There will be a time for thinking, just not in this lifetime! Don't get me wrong. It doesn't mean we aren't smart. We just don't have to think about it to get there! Jump in, don't analyze. That's what this Aries lifetime is all about! There is plenty of Earth in this cycle to keep us grounded. That's all we need anyway, right?

  • Mercury is "slowing down" and will retrograde with the Last Quarter Moon
For the first three weeks of this cycle things are going to feel pretty "normal." But then, Mercury does that retrograde thing again. It's okay. Really it is. Just be ready for it. How do you do that? Know what Mercury Rx means, intuitively. It means the Universe isn't focused on the smooth functioning of outer reality in the way humans are comfortable perceiving it. It means that Time requires us to focus inward every so often to remember that our highest reality isn't out there. It's inside. All of our connections are inside. So why get upset if the phone stops working or your computer glitches or someone just doesn't hear what you are saying? The prime message of Mercury retrograde is this: if you check in with your inner world, you'll See that everything really is okay.
The last week of this cycle is a preview of what is coming in the next lunation, when Mercury will be retrograde for more than half the lunar month! But don't worry about it now. Save it for our next lifetime in Taurus.
When the Last Quarter Moon arrives, maybe we'll talk about this a little more. To get ready for what is to come.

All of this sums up to moving forward. Don't wait for the pack, lead it. But lead with feelings and intuition more than thought. Trust your instincts and nurture your environment. Care for others and trust in family─not only your blood relations, but your extended family, which includes in the largest sense the Earth and everyone on it. You won't think about this, of course. Just keep your feet on the ground and the best things will happen. You'll see!

A couple ways you might look at this Lunation

  1. You might want to consider what it would mean to leave yourself behind─the self you know so well─in order to accept a new incarnation into the sign of Aries. What would it be like to be reborn with this New Moon, seeing everything in your life through new filters from the chart you were born with and the personality you have developed through the years. Elisha calls this the principle of multiple incarnations within a single lifetime. Stick with me and Elisha for a year of such Journeys and you will experience what it means to be born into every sign of the Zodiac.

  2. You might wish to study The Lunation Guide and consider that possibly certain lessons are given to us on a planetary level with each New Moon. By following the principles Dane Rudhyar outlined in his classic work The Lunation Cycle , discover what those lessons are. Don't miss the opportunity for spiritual growth that every lunation brings!

Whichever way you choose to experience it, I hope you will leave comments below

The Lunation of Slowing Down!

I'm a little slow in getting this month's lunation letter out. No apologies, though, and let me tell you why!

Last month, in the Lunation of New Beginnings, it felt sort of like we were lining up for a race! The starting flag was in the air, the gun was raised, the referee spoke clearly into the megaphone: "On your mark," ... the crowd hushed, breaths were in-drawn, held ... "get ready," ... tension built, the crowd leaned forward ... "STOP!"  The person behind you probably dropped all 64 ounces of his soft drink on your head and down your shoulders.

What?

Sometimes nature has a way of playing tricks on us. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's to see if we are paying attention. During a lunar month that begins with the Lunation on a Moon Path, it is a very good idea to pay attention to your dreams. I've had quite a few very vivid dreams where everything seems right with the world, and then I wake up, and nothing seems to jive. Have you experienced this? On the other hand, the waking dream seems to be giving out quite the opposite message from what I expect.

Today we were at Publix getting a prescription filled. Danny went in to get it for me while I waited in the car with Jon, our Chihuahua. After a few minutes the phone rang. It was my insurance company responding to a call I had put in several weeks ago. I was approaching that insurance gap sometimes called "the doughnut hole." You young folks won't have to worry about this for some years to come, but for us old folks, the doughnut hole is when you reach a certain point when insurance won't cover as much as it did in the beginning of the year, for the rest of the year. Bummer. But there are some benefits if you know where to look. The company that makes my insulin will give free insulin to people in the doughnut hole. The only thing required is that you have a letter from your insurance company saying you are, in fact, IN the doughnut hole.

Last year, it took several weeks and three phone calls to supervisors at my insurance company before I could get them to write a letter to my insulin provider proving I had entered the doughnut hole. So this year, I got started early. I contacted them two weeks ago. So the phone rings, today, while Danny is in the pharmacy. The lady says, "Hello Zy, I see that you are in the doughnut hole and we wanted to avoid the trouble you went through last year." I was in the process of taking a sip of water and almost choked. Trust me. This is as startling as the phone company calling you to predict you will have phone trouble next week, but don't worry, they are sending someone out to take care of it now. The sort of thing that might happen in dreams, but how often in "real life?"

I asked her when I had gone into the doughnut hole. She said, "Just a moment please, let me check." Then she comes back, sounding a bit haunted, "Well, it looks like you just entered it a couple minutes ago." I had, in fact. With the prescription Danny had JUST paid for in the pharmacy. The sweet lady promises she will get a letter off to my insulin provider tomorrow and I hang up, pondering the nature of "reality."

How on earth did this happen? And what does this have to do with slowing down, when it seems like a leap into the future? Has time gone crazy or something? Here's the secret. By starting the process a couple weeks ago, I had actually begun to visualize that everything would work out more smoothly this year. Visualizing during a time of inner planet retrogrades brings much quicker results than anything you can do on the outer. I'll be writing more about this next week in my blog.

But my point is, just when it seems like everything slows down to a crawl or even stops, and all plans seem to be coming to an absolute halt, the truth is: nature reveals everything is happening exactly according to its time, regardless of whether it agrees with what you think your timing is! It's amazing, actually, when you don't think about it. All you have to do is pay attention!

Well, that's not all you have to do. This lunar month requires that you know what it means to do inner work, as some of the following will try to explain.

What begins with the new moon swells to the full.
Here are some things to consider when traveling this Moon's Journey:

  • The Lunation occurs on a Moon Path
As last month, this lends spiritual significance that adds the qualities and nuances of The Moon─sometimes subtly, sometimes less so─to everything that follows. Rather than list those qualities here, I have taken them into consideration in the following descriptions.
But if you want a jump on things, watch your dreams, which includes watching your waking life as if it too were a dream. Because, in fact, it is.

  • This is the Taurus Lunation and Mercury & Mars are Rx
Taurus is the slowest sign in the zodiac. It doesn't mean STOP though things may sometimes feel like they are grinding to a halt. In actuality they are just moving at a much slower pace than expected, and because of the retrogrades of Mercury and Mars, much of the movement is inner movement. What does this mean? It means the inner worlds are very active and those who know how to perceive and negotiate them are the ones who will have the best time of it this lunar month. Others may feel frustrated and experience obstacles. But let's move on ... slowly.

  • The Lunation makes a Grand Trine with Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Virgo. The stronger of the two trines is with Pluto. And Pluto also trines the Moon's North Node in Virgo.
Trines are free flowing energy. This is energy that is easy to catch and take advantage of. This particular combination is focused on our leadership potential. A new phoenix born under this lunation has intense power based on a natural ability to understand what motivates other people and strong intuition on when to be assertive and when to compromise. It also opens an confident channel to the future, so that in applying ourselves to the job at hand we are able to be at ease: even when we don't see immediate results, our efforts will pay off.

  • Jupiter in Virgo opposes Neptune in Pisces.
A phoenix born in this lunation has great artistic talent, though there is a mirror principle involved. It may appear that it is a partner that has the talent, when, in fact, what we are seeing is our own potential. This Moon challenges us to develop our talents and use them in creative ways.

  • The Lunation is inconjunct Saturn Rx in Sagittarius
This makes us cautious about trying new things or taking risks. At the same time, we may feel it's difficult to follow rules and regulations in life. Although this is not a great feeling it can be taken as a wake up call that lets us know in what areas of our lives we need to incorporate reasonable structure and cooperate with it once established.

  • Jupiter in Virgo squares Saturn Rx in Sagittarius
This aspect may take the mirror principle above and cause us to focus positive energy in a negative way. In other words, seeing the abilities of others could make us feel insufficient to our own goals. This too is a wake up call. If you find yourself feeling this way or putting yourself down for any reason, hear the alarm ring. Wake up and remember that it is important to believe in your own abilities. Others may not recognize greatness in anything we do, particularly at this time. That's okay. The reward is in the work itself. Where we are and what we can do right now is the important thing. Let tomorrow take care of itself.
  • The dominant Mode is Mutable almost in a tie with Fixed
It seems like things could change any moment. That it's just about to happen. But it keeps on not quite happening. That's just another reminder to slow down. Put your feet on the ground. Look down and around you, not up. Get grounded.

  • The dominant Element is Earth
In fact, it will benefit us all to sit down on the ground, literally. Get in touch with the earth. Work in the garden, getting all earthy with fresh smelling dirt. Taurus is the sign of Fixed Earth. There is no greater sign under which to get in touch with Mother Nature.

  • Not much Water in the Chart
And though it is true that intuition is strong throughout this cycle, such intuition does not come through feelings in the way you might expect. It comes through earthiness. Through touch. Through being grounded. Trust me in this. Put your feet and hands down on and in the earth and let it whisper great wisdom directly into your body. This isn't a wisdom we feel emotionally. It is tactile, and something we smell when digging through richly decaying leaves. It is something ancient that preserves and passes on what only the Earth knows and holds to herself. Yet she will share when she finds you willing and worthy. When we are willing to listen and breathe.

  • Mercury will come to Station on May 22nd the day after the Full Moon, and then slowly begin forward motion out of retrograde.
And yet it will take a while before communication might feel normal again. That's okay. You may continue with your inner work. All these lessons are to remind us of a Universal Law: As within, So without. What we See today is a reflection of all that we believed yesterday. And what we will See tomorrow is a reflection of today.
         And so it is.

All of this sums up to flashing yellow lights that say: slow down. As an aside I'll tell you a funny story that happens to be true. On Monday, April 25th, just over a week before the Taurus Lunation, I was driving to a restaurant after a doctor's appointment when I was pulled over by a sheriff who, fortunately for me, was a very nice man in a rather understanding mood. He said I was going 5 miles over the school zone speed limit. Didn't I notice the yellow flashing lights? I told him, "No sir. I'm sorry. I didn't."
He gave me a warning ticket.
This is another indication of the signs we might notice in the waking dream if we are paying attention!

Once again I am very late getting this lunation letter posted. It seemed it would be just a matter of sheer discipline to get it done and that I would do it more for posterity than for giving people─myself included─a guide to make the lunar month easier. However, now that I am finally at the point of posting, I am seeing quite clearly that sometimes we cannot know in advance what only becomes clear as we experience the steps of our lives, no matter how halting they may sometimes seem.

With that said, let's examine some of the things we've been dealing with since the Lunation began.

What begins with the new moon swells to the full.
Here are some things to consider when traveling this Moon's Journey:

  • The Lunation occurs on a Leo Path
This lends spiritual significance that adds the qualities and nuances of Leo─sometimes subtly, sometimes less so─to everything that follows. Rather than list those qualities here, I have taken them into consideration in the following descriptions.

  • Mars is Rx until after the Last Quarter Moon
Outer things are still moving at a much slower pace than we would like, and so an inner focus is still needed to find ways to shift things.

  • We are dealing with a Mutable Grand Cross
A Mutable Grand Cross is in the sky: the Moon, Sun, and Venus are together at one point of the cross with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune holding the other four points. This Grand Cross may make us feel confused and scattered while simultaneously giving us an unmistakable feeling that changes and shifts are absolutely necessary. Though Gemini is a sign of communication, the Mutable Grand Cross may give us problems maintaining focus where communication is most necessary. Yet we need to hang in there with the faith that we are given what we need to make the changes and shifts required, even if we have no idea how to proceed at the beginning.

  • Venus squares Jupiter
This unfortunate aspect makes us very disinterested in facing anything tough. And yet interest is precisely what we need, so my advice is: get tough anyway!

  • The Lunation is conjunct Venus
This is the positive side of the Lunation's predicament. We have the ability to remain calm and gentle and to enjoy nature and relationships that bring us beauty. We are loving and can express ourselves with affection though we should be careful not to be too idealistic.

  • Lunation squares Jupiter
On the negative side, we may feel apathetic and self-indulgent, prone to excessive behavior.

  • Saturn squares Neptune
The key to success this lunar month is to focus on the practical side of life even though we might rather ignore and escape it.

  • Jupiter squares Saturn
    Don't make the mistake of
compare yourself to others. And remember that the work we do this month is its own reward.

  • Venus Opposes Saturn
It may be difficult to trust other people. Work on developing your own value system, and be compassionate with yourself in the effort.

  • The Lunation opposes Saturn
A lot of what we are working to change and shift this month comes from long-standing patterns in our past. Though it may feel like forces are stacked against you, it is important to remember that the Universe supports the changes and shifts that are needed. Don't rely on others. Create your own rules and beliefs.

In summary, I am quite humbled to look back upon this lunar month to see how things unfolded, slowly but surely, in little steps that didn't always seem clear at the time of taking them. Change is inevitable and often necessary, but sometimes we don't know what to do to make it happen. I think the lesson of this long retrograde of Mars was that sometimes we have to allow change to happen: change that has been setup in a series of events from the past; change that sometimes feels karmic and inevitable. Yes, there is always something we can do, but sometimes it feels like we spend all our energy just working to bail the water out of the bottom of a sinking boat. Yet when we finally get a moment to rest, we look up in surprise to discover that the boat has gotten to where it needed to go all by itself.

That was my Gemini story this year, in any case. Though many of these Gemini days were frustrating, I find myself smiling with appreciation nearing the end of another phoenix lifetime and wondering what the next one will bring.

Cancer is the Moon's own sign of Motherhood. Spencer John says, "To get a feeling for the qualities of Cancer, think about how a mother relates to her infant child: nurturing, care-taking, protective, sensitive, anxious, patient." And yet one of the flaws of Cancer is that all these feelings are directed almost completely towards someone else. It is easy to forget to nurture yourself, which can lead to a terrible and frustrating Catch 22. When you don't get nurtured, you wear yourself out and then how can you effectively take care of anyone else? This image sets the tone for this Lunation of Adjustment and Balance.

Sometimes I achieve this goal better than others. If you have questions, please ask them in the comments section that follows at the bottom of the page.

What begins with the new moon swells to the full.
Here are some things to consider when traveling this Moon's Journey:

_The Path_

  • The Lunation occurs on a Moon Path
This lends spiritual significance that adds the qualities and nuances of the Moon─sometimes subtly, sometimes less so─to everything that follows. Rather than list those qualities here, I have taken them into consideration in the following descriptions.

_Challenges & Opportunities_

  • Saturn (sagittarius dwad aries 5th) square Neptune (pisces dwad cancer 5th)
There is conflict between a need for structure in which to explore a goal-oriented future with an impulse to do something about it ─and─ the need to dream, fantasize, and let things take their natural course. Between a need to manage and control, and an easy-going desire to flow. On the one hand there is a need to take responsibility, organize, educate, and direct ─and─ on the other hand, just relax, listen to music, enjoy a film, or just plain play! This conflict will show up where loved ones are involved, or children, or even your own inner child. It is no small matter. This conflict carries a lot of energy and can lead to a seesaw that engenders anger, and then an immediate need to mother and forgive whoever you were angry with, even and especially if it is yourself, or yourself reflected in someone you love.

  • Lunation (cancer dwad scorpio 5th) trine Neptune (pisces dwad cancer 5th)
This aspect is more of a bounty than a problem, though it can add to the challenge above by overbalancing the recreation-fun side of the equation and luring us away from the practical. Here we gain insight, feel creative, intuitive and artistic. This grants us warmth and gentleness and sensitivity to other people's feelings. This should work out well especially in intimate relationships.

  • Mars (scorpio dwad libra 10th) inconjunct Uranus (aries dwad capricorn 10th)
This is the first of three calls for adjustment by this Lunation. An adjustment is like a seesaw where one part of the board is shorter than the other. It feels impossible to balance two things, but necessary to do so anyway. This first call for adjustment looks something like this: whenever you feel an almost sexual need to get something accomplished─and you will feel it─before you can actually accomplish much, you'll find yourself stubbornly and selfishly rejecting or at least disrupting that very need and call to action. But this adjustment twister won't sit still, either. When you are on the other side, rebelling against something you need to do, a feeling of needing to do it all the more overwhelms you.

  • Jupiter (virgo dwad aries 8th) trine Pluto (capricorn dwad aries 7th)
Here is a second bounty hidden between the adjustments of this Moon. We will have an enthusiastic, discriminating optimism that urges action, bonding, merging, and transformation. We have all it takes to dedicate ourselves to goals and long term accomplishment. It's a good energy for partnership, friendship, marriage, and business.

  • Mercury (cancer dwad libra 4th) inconjunct Saturn (sagittarius dwad aries 5th)
This is the second call for adjustment from this Moon. It concerns the sphere of action and attention in which we spend our time and energy. There is a strong pull on our thoughts and attention to focus on family and relationships close to home. And yet when too many of our decisions revolve around this, that pull towards a goal-oriented future that stretches out into the world (work, career, etc.) interferes. And vice versa: too much attention on the world, our goals, and the future conflicts with our stay-at-home instincts. It is difficult to balance these two spheres of life as the demands on our time and attention on the one side (home or the world) causes stress and demands adjustment from the other (the world or home).

  • Lunation (cancer dwad scorpio 5th) inconjunct Saturn (sagittarius dwad aries 5th)
This is the third and final call for adjustment. It is like an echo of the other two, only this one focuses more on the emotional aspect of the conflicts. Whereas the 2nd one described above is about thought and decision processes, this one is more about the emotional picture, which often isn't logical at all. We feel obligated to focus on relationships and intimacy (at home). Yet this emotional obligation causes adjustment conflict with the other things we "should be" doing (out there, in those other matters we feel called to do). And again, nastily, vice versa.

_The Gifts_

Wherever there is conflict and challenge in life, we are also given gifts that help us through them. We find the gifts in two places: from within, where our greatest creativity is located, and from the world─Gaia, the Mother─where we may be receptive to what we can cultivate, to orient ourselves to the mundane.

Interestingly enough, the two things most in conflict this month share something very important in common to guide us through it all.

  • Dwad Sign and House of Sun and Moon (cancer dwad scorpio 5th)
Me─Our Greatest Creativity extends from our sensitivity, patience and intuition. It flows from our ability to nurture and take care of our home environment and the people we love most. (If you are wise, you are going to be one of those people!) Instinct is a big part of this. We have an almost psychic ability to penetrate to the essence of whatever we focus upon. And once that essence is known, deep and meaningful connections can be made.

  • Dwad Sign and House of Earth (capricorn dwad taurus 5th)
The World─Our Greatest Receptivity comes from a natural quality contained in time itself this month. It is easy to do what is required in order to accomplish things that bring success. Discipline doesn't feel like discipline in any negative sense. It feels like closure and boundaries we work inside of with gratitude and ease. Why? Because we value what we are doing and the direction in which we are headed.

What is the commonality between the two things most in conflict this lunar month─home and the world? It is the Inner Child, the part of us that most understands how to have fun! Whatever else you may call the things to come this month, it's almost a guarantee it will be dramatic. The Moon will have her way with us. It's going to be an emotional ride. But the Inner Child knows what it wants to do to be entertained, to express itself romantically, creatively, and with larger than life personal power. What do you know about children? They are always focused on right now, this moment, like there is no tomorrow.

So when the world pulls at you from one direction and home from the other, where is the most drama, right now, in this very moment? What sounds to you─to your Inner Child─like the most fun and entertaining thing to do? Whatever it is, do it with all your heart.

It may seem like if you give your Inner Child full reign for a month, all he or she will want to do is play and no work will get done at all. I have found this isn't true. A healthy child will work with all his or her heart with everything done, and make very little, if any, distinguishing between "work" and "play." Ponder this. And whatever you choose to do, work and play with childlike abandon, as if there is no tomorrow. Because of the seesaw effect of adjustment and balance from this Lunation, you'll likely do something different tomorrow from what you do today. And that's okay.

You will probably NOT find balance in any one day this month. Balance will negotiate itself through the days as you make creative and emotionally intelligent choices about what you are doing one day at a time.

A couple ways you might look at this Lunation

  1. You might want to consider what it would mean to leave yourself behind─the self you know so well─in order to accept a new incarnation into the sign of Cancer.
